School Bomb Threats and Bank Robbery
An investigation was underway in Camden County, NJ after telephone bomb threats were made to four Haddonfield public schools within a 10-minute time frame on Thursday morning.
Officials say safety protocols were followed at all four schools: Haddonfield Memorial High School, Haddonfield Middle School, and Central Elementary and Elizabeth Haddon Elementary schools. Kids were back in class about an hour and a half later.
No devices were found. The elementary and middle schools resumed their regular schedules. The high school, which was in the midst of midterm exams, issued a revised exam schedule. E-mails with the time changes were sent to parents.
Meanwhile, a bank robbery took place about the same time at a TD Bank branch on Haddon Road, where the suspect allegedly passed a note to a teller. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
An FBI spokesman says there is no information to link the incidents, although they were looking into that possibility.
