Winter Season: Closed January through March
WheatonArts is closed annually to the public during the months of January, February, and March. During this time, the Museum of American Glass, Folklife Center, and Artist Studios are scheduled for exhibition changes, inventory purposes, and repairs. Learn more about our winter schedule here. The campus will fully reopen on Thursday, April 4, 2024, when WheatonArts returns to its seasonal operating schedule, open April through December. The Museum Stores will continue to be available online at shop.wheatonarts.org or by scheduled appointment.

Join us for our free “kick-off” event celebrating a new creative season!
Celebrate the start of WheatonArts’ creative season with this free kick-off event highlighting our many daily offerings and hands-on programming! Explore thought-provoking exhibits in the Museum of American Glass and Down Jersey Folklife Center, showcasing glass collections and the complexities and values of traditional arts through modern-day times. Experience various artist demonstrations throughout the campus, including glassmaking, pottery, paper art, large-scale murals, and more. Discover a series of free hands-on projects to create across campus, and discounted glass-fused projects in the Education Studio. Enjoy a bite to eat from food vendors and listen to live music.
Wheaton Springs offers every visitor the chance to explore, experience, and create across a campus that inspires and heals the senses. Admission to all WheatonArts exhibits and artist studio demonstrations are FREE and open to the public, part of “Family Days! Presented by PNC Arts Alive!”

In partnership with the Authority of Cumberland County, WheatonArts presents the 17th annual ECO Fair, a FREE Family Day event inspired by natural and artful living! ECO Fair, a campus-wide event, features local gardening clubs, including Rutgers Master Gardeners with various plants and herbs for sale, handmade works of New Jersey artists, environmental organizations, Nature Trail tours, eco-friendly activities for families, and more.
Admission to all WheatonArts exhibits and artist studio demonstrations are free and open to the public for the day, part of WheatonArts Family Days sponsored by PNC Arts Alive! ECO Fair is presented in partnership with The Authority of Cumberland County, CU Maurice River, and Rutgers Master Gardeners.

Join us for FANTASY FAIRE, a family-friendly festival of medieval folklore & fun! Fantasy Faire features talented performers as they bring to life the “Kingdom of Wheaton” by enacting a series of interconnected shows that tell the story of the day. Interact with strolling costumed characters, portraying historical and mythical figures, throughout WheatonArts’ campus both days. Everyone is welcome to come dressed in their favorite fantasy garbs to enjoy a variety of live performances, including storytellers, dancing, and drumming, as well as sword demonstrations, retail vendors, pirate games, scavenger hunts, and archery games.
Presented in partnership with Mystic Realms, Ltd, this event is included with general admission to WheatonArts.
