Center Celebrates Women's History Month

Center Celebrates Women's History Month The Atlantic City Art Center will celebrate Women's History Month in March, with a meet the artist reception and recognition of three local women's organizations.

The reception and recognition will take place on Friday, March 6th from 6PM – 8PM at the Center. Featured artists for March are Evelyn Favus and Nastassia Davis.

Evelyn Favus is a world renowned artist who has done work for UNICEF and exhibited in galleries around the country and abroad. Nastassia Davis is an Atlantic City resident and a studio artist, who is gaining a wide following for her creative works. In addition, the Art Center will recognize the works of three women's organizations in the area. The three organizations being feted are The Atlantic City Chapter of the Links, Inc., 101 Women Plus and the Children's Cultural Arts Foundation, Inc.

Sandra Taylor, program coordinator said "These three organizations have made tremendous contributions to the civic, social and cultural life of our community. Women's history month is the perfect time to take note of their efforts to improve our quality of life in South Jersey."

The sponsor for our reception is Reliance Healthcare of Pleasantville, where Jon Regis is President and the Tropicana Casino Resort of Atlantic City.
